Finishes refer to the treatment applied to spring products, clips and wire forms. There are different types of treatments which are performed for a variety of applications, including treatments to prevent rusting and to prolong the life of springs and wire products.

Finishes are applied to customer specifications and applied to the spring products to perform specific functions optimally. If spring steel components are being electroplated it is highly recommended that a de-embrittlement process is specified to avoid the possibility of spring failure due to hydrogen embrittlement.
